Click "Like" on CV Cashel's Facebook Page to keep up with his news.

Autumn 2011

Rosa & Robert have been getting on great, doing pleasure rides and sj leagues, proving that they are the best breed in the world when a young green pony can take a child off the lead and look after it!  We wish Crossowen Cailin much luck in her new home in Devon.  We will update the youngstock page shortly with pictures of our younger men, geldings and colts - some exciting guys!  We hope the Winter wont be as harsh as the last, and as always look forwards to 2012 Spring Arrival (3 CV Cashel foals).

Summer 2011

We said goodbye to Crossowen Timmy who was the first foal by our own stallion born 8yrs ago, and were delighted to hear from his new owner to tell us they won dressage on their first outing!  Best of luck to Timmy & Jennifer xxx.  Meanwhile Robert (8yrs) has started to ride Timmy's half sister Rosa (same dam), who is only 13hands, v. green but v. honest, see how it goes...  We have been busy training, and have three young mares now riding under saddle (not inc. Rosa) - with the downturn in the economy these girls will all have alternative career to breeding to ensure a good future.

Spring 2011

Taylodge Money Penny has had beautiful filly foal by Illaunurra Lad,

Loughandonning Beauty has had a lovely filly to Dunloughan Scott ~ see photos on 2011 foals page.  Crossowen Lochlann and Crossowen Timmy both got through to evening performance at recent N Ireland Festival which was great achievement, both sired by CV Cashel.  Good Luck to Crossowen Romeo in lovely new home were he will join his full sister Crossowen Angel.

Autumn 2010

We wish three off our homebred ponies best of luck in their new homes across the water, the two colt foals Crossowen Phantom and Crossowen Wise Guy, also the yearling Crossowen Tweed, (pictured with his new owner).  Two of CV Cashel young purebred progeny are also pictured competing recently at a working hunter show.  Crossowen Lochlann went on to win an arena event competition with two clears and the fastest time!

4th September 2010.

Its with much sadness that I write here to say my sister (Marina Wray) lost her husband James Wray suddenly.  Words would not be good enough to describe the man James was, so I wont even try that one, and those that knew him will agree! But I just want to say that he will be sorely missed by us. Pictured to the right is James with Crossowen Lochlann, in July at the NPS - a lovely day together we will always remember, among many more.  A true gentleman.  RIP James Wray. x.

Summer fun - 2010.

Congratulations to our Crossowen ponies at the shows recently.  Crossowen Lochlann (3yrs gelding) won NPS m&m youngstock class on his first outing, while his full sister Crossowen Jay (4yrs) stood 2nd at the BCPS Breed Show, next to Crossowen Storm who took 3rd.  At Castlewellan Show Valerie McKie and our past pony Clogher Valley Kestrel took first place in the ridden M&M heading a large class, leaving her very capable husband Gary in charge of their two yr old filly Crossowen Joy who got 2nd in the m&m youngstock.    Meanwhile Jane Bruce with "Holy Smoke" who are competing at 2010 Home International and Celtic Challenge in Scotland (Endurance).  Jane and Smoke recently achieved their first 50 mile ride at Florencecourt. Congratulations to Donagh Gallagher with Crossowen Ciara taking Champion Connemara Pony at Clogher Valley Show.  Well done to all for producing their ponies so beautifully & keeping in touch!

Summer - 2010

Crossowen Cailin (maiden mare) has had a lovely colt foal by Clonberne Boy.  Congrats to Cox's with Clogher Valley Gold who have qualified for RIHS.  We were delighted to hear Lorna Glendenning and her son of CV Cashel took 6th at Balmoral Show in a large class of Small  hunters "L R Clancy" - great for the partbreds.  On a sadder note we sorry to hear the death of Augher Fred, a son of our premium mare Taylodgemoney Penny by Monaghanstown Fred, he was a super pony and a pleasure in the 4 years we had him.

Spring - 2010

Best of luck to two of our broodmares in their new home in  Finland.

We have one smashing colt foal, first foal of Crossowen Flame (warmblood) by our own stallion.

Well done to Lucy & Crossowen Storm on winning dressage competition with score of 72%!  Storm is pictured in the 2010 BCPS Cronicle breed show winner.

Winter - 2010

We had over 3 solid weeks of snow on the ground, drinkers and taps frozen for same duration.  But the ponies out seemed to love the snow, even our foals live out, we seen temperatures below minus 10, still better than the rain we get!  We said to goodbye to 3 of our ponies all going across the water, two homebred by our resident stallion CV Cashel.   Crossowen Happy safely made the long journey to an Island of Orkney Island, which was made up of three ferry crossings!!! We wish them all much luck in the future.

Autumn 2009-

Congratulations to the Cox's with Clogher Valley Gold who recently at Ponies UK won the Kingsford Novice M & M Large Breeds Class, took Reserve Champion along with winning the Restricted Large Breeds as well.  He then went on to BSPS were he won the Pretty polly Connemare/New Forest and again took Reserve Champion!!  What a result!

Many thanks to all our friends with their best wishes on the safe arrival of our son.   Crossown Timmy wins at final at local showjumping league, his first time against the clock out of over 30 ponies ridden by my nephew Stephen Clements.

Summer 2009- Our foals have all arrived safely, have a look on our foals page FOALS 2009 PAGE.  Our broodmare Loughandonning Beauty was 4th at Balmoral on her first ever outing, taking all in her stride.   Monaghanstown Mary gets 2nd at the Ballinalee Connemara Pony Show in a large class.  We have updated some of the progeny on C.V. Cashel page. Congratulations to Lucy Jeffrey & Crossowen Storm who won their class and took Reserve Champion at the recent BCPS summer show.

Spring 2009- Both our fillies Monaghanstown Mary and Eastlands Dianna received Class One at the recent CPBS inspections.

Crossowen Domina (CV Cashel x Valvaldi) has been following in her parents footsteps winning dressage, proving a beautiful marriage with much self carriage and obviously the trainability of her parents.  (see photos).  Well done to Crossowen Storm, who got 63.5% on her first dressage test!   Crossowen Timmy (CV Cashel) made great shape at his first showjumping attempt, jumping double clear each week at local pony club league, he also qualified PC Dengie Dressage Regional Final.

Our first foal has arrived - a filly out of our premium mare Taylodge Money Penny by C.V. Cashel Foals 2009

Autumn 2008- At last - it has been a long hard (wet) summer.  C. V. Cashel after an illness as made a full recover, thank you to all those that kept up-to-date with his progress.  He is now back to normal, and recently gave a great display to welcome a bus load of 30 visitors on the BCPS annual trip.  We managed to get down to Clifden briefly, M. Mary took 10th in a class of 43 yearling fillies of amazing standard so we were pleased to get a rosette and she looked well.

Summer 2008- We were delighted to watch Crossowen Jay win the m&m 2&3yrold class at the Royal Highland & hear Mum & Dad get a mention in the grand parade!  Well done to Allan & Linda.  Clogher Valley Gold continues his wins undersaddle.  Monaghanstown Mary gets third in a strong class of yearlings at Balinallee on her first ever outing.  Well done to Powell family with 4yr old Crossowen Domina who have got 65% & 70% on their first attempt at dressage competition!

Spring 2008- Kate (Carna Dun) aged 38 died in March, very much missed, she died on my Dad's 10th Anniversary.  After a very long winter, and late Spring our foals have arrived, three very pleasing fillies.  Some will be offered for sale.
