We aim to breed athletic ponies, as correct as possible, with good temperaments, suitable to be ridden by child or adult - in any sphere.
Experience in riding and competing with registered connemara ponies for 30 years. Breeding foals for twenty-five years, we have made many friends all with a common interest ~ The Connemara Pony, and have welcomed visitors from as far as USA, Canada and Denmark in recent years. Visitors Very Welcome Located just an hour and half from airports and ferries.
Thirty years on, our son Robert McLaren (8yrs) riding his purebred Connemara Pony Rosa pictured Jan. 2012 doing his first dressage test. ![]() Kate & Pauline (aged 10yrs), winning the ridden Connemara class at Omagh Show 1982. Kate was the last progeny of the famous CARNA DUN, the combination also won the ridden connemara class Dublin Horse Show 1990 (Kate was then aged 21years). Kate enjoyed her last years at Crossowen Stud, and lived to 38.
