Kate won many classes over the years, in every sphere, she was an outstanding performance pony, and more importantly, she was the safest family pony.  She is an amazing example of the connemara pony's temperament, athletic ability, trainability, conformation and not to mention hardiness ~ Kate lived out all year at Crossowen.  Kate died, March 2008, aged 38 years.
KATE (5564) AGED 38, Sire:- CARNA DUN (BY LITTLE HAVEN)    Dam:- RIVERSTOWN LASS (BY MAC DARA).  Pictured here in the Parade of Prize winners after winning the Ridden Connemara Class at the Dublin Horse Show, Kate was aged 21, ridden by Pauline McLaren.  We don't think any other pony of this age has won the ridden class, there were approx thirty others in the class (classes weren't split then).

ValValdi (Homebred), Sire: Vivaldi; Dam:Drumragh First Lady (X Mountcaufield Val)

 

 

 Champion Show Hunter; Champion Broodmare; 3rd Small Riding Horse Dublin Show.  Winner of numerous dressage leagues; combined training competitions, and gave many years of fun under saddle.  With three of her four progeny sold to England ~ now proving a successful broodmare.

We currently have Val's last filly "Crossowen Rainbow" - out of Val by C. V. Cashel.  2 years, exceptional temparment.

4 Year old Filly (2007) Mary shares the same dam as the stallions M. Prince, M. Boy and M. Paddy.  Monaghanstown Mary is currently being trained undersaddle before breeding.

4 Year old Filly (2007) E. Dianna is a granddaughter of the famous Irishtown Dianna, pictured below with both parents as a 4wk old foal. This filly shares the same dam as the Swedish showjumping gelding "Lexus Justice" who was ranked 5th in the top 100 showjumping ponies last year (2010), and he has also jumped on the Swedish team at European Show Jumping Championships.

Eastlands Dianna is currently being training under saddle.

6 Year old mare. Rosa is daughter of lovely mare we owned for a good few years, her sire is super premium stallion Spinway Comet by Thunderbolt. 

Being only 13hands she is being ridden by 8yr old Robert.
